At The New School, everyone is encouraged to be who they are as part of a supportive and inclusive environment. Classes prioritize depth over breadth, allowing students the freedom to pursue areas of interest and passion.

New School students graduate with confidence in their ability to handle what comes next. They are happy and excited about their futures.

Your donation to The New School Fund supports students as they explore their learning and who they are. It gives teachers the opportunity to collaborate closely with students, creating meaningful classroom experiences.

All donations to The New School Fund support operating expenses and are an important source of unrestricted funds. Unrestricted gifts are the most valuable because they give the school the opportunity to focus on the areas of greatest need to make each student’s and teacher’s experience the best it can be.

Just a few of the key elements your donation to The New School Fund can impact:

  • The technology the students and faculty work with every day
  • Opportunities for professional development for faculty
  • The upkeep and improvement of facilities, like classrooms, the gym, and the black box

Every child should have the opportunity to attend a school where they feel seen, valued, and academically challenged. Every teacher should have the opportunity to create authentic connections with their students.

Your gift helps make all of this a reality.

Your Impact Through The John Potter Scholarship Fund

John Potter founded The New School to give students the chance to play a central role in their education and discover themselves. Students have their choice of challenging, engaging classes, where they have collaborative relationships with teachers. They are encouraged to be exactly who they are. New School students graduate with confidence in their ability to handle what comes next. They are happy and excited about their futures.

The John Potter Scholarship Fund will directly support students who may not be able to afford the full cost of a New School tuition.

This Fund will bolster our scholarship program, giving us the opportunity to increase the number of scholarships and the amount of scholarship dollars awarded. It will help us give more support to students than ever before.

Every child should have the opportunity to attend a school where they feel seen, valued, and academically challenged.

Your gift helps make this a reality.

Existing donations in the John Potter Scholarship Fund were recently invested after a diligent research and decision-making process by the school’s Board of Directors and administration. Future donations will also be added to the investment account. This will help the Fund have the biggest impact by giving it the opportunity to grow both through donations and a strong and safe investment accruing regular interest.
